OLD HAND AT THE GAME - RESUPPLY EXPERIENCE

SSS are serving commercial and naval shipping in the UAE since 1986. In the wake of the Gulf crisis of 1990, it more than proved its mettle, meeting the challenge of having to effect the delivery of large volume supplies to Allied warships in the area, at short notice and under war conditions.

During the Gulf war as well as the liberation of Iraq, SSS also supplied the U.S armed forces and other coalition forces in the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

SSS is prime vendor subsistence (full line food supplies) as well as prime vendor MRO for the coalition allied forces and U.S military.

Today SSS is the only Chandler in the UAE that maintains its own facilities for the supply of FFV. It also exports FFV to selected long-standing clients.

SSS serves other navies as well, including the Australian, Belgian, British, Canadian, Dutch, German, French, Italian, Japanese, New Zealand, Indian, and South African. It also serves passenger and cruise liners such as the P & O Cruises, Renaissance Cruises, Radisson Seven Seas Cruises, Austria Leisure Vessels, Mitsui OSK, Crystal Cruises, V.Ships, Swan Hellenic, Prime Express and Master Mariner.

Senior SSS management and personnel have served the marine industry for more than 25 years.

Since 1986, when SSS went on stream, its offices adjacent to the port have served as a vantage point giving the group the inner perceptiveness to see how maritime activities are quite a reflection of which way the economy will go.

Seven Seas has thus been able to make forays into several new marine sectors.

Shipchandling is the nucleus of the Group's operations. Since start-up it has put network offices on stream across the country so as to be able to provide quick and comprehensive services at all U.A.E ports.

It effects at least 10,000 supplies - bonded stores, deck, engine, cabin, medical, stationery, provisions, FFV, engine spares- annually.

It operates round-the-clock, 365 days of the year.

Seven Seas Shipchandlers is a member of both leading supply associations, namely, the International Ship Supplies Association (ISSA) and the International Marine Purchasers Association (IMPA).

By obtaining the certification of BS EN ISO 9002:1994 from DNV in March 1997, SSS has emphasised that quality is their route for success.
